The Ski Alpine World Cup starts in Canada today – a race with a lot of hopes and dreams. Skiing and snowboarding are sports Lena is passionate about and she loves the fact that she can combine this passion with her job in logistics at DB Schenker Sports Events. How? Find out!

The passion
By the time the teams start to race down the hills in Lake Louise, Canada, Lena has already sorted all the skis and other equipment beforehand in Munich, Germany and transported all this fragile freight by air to Copper Mountain, USA for training and the main part of the equipment onward to Lake Louise via truck.

The purpose
Sorting skis in below-zero temperatures is fun when you have a purpose. And Lena is passionate about skiing – her favorite sport – so she is glad to take on the responsibility of supporting the seven teams for the FIS World Cup as good as she can. Lena gives her contribution to the 57th season of this amazing Ski Alpine World Cup, and she is proud of it!

The 20 tons of equipment and more than 800 packages have been sorted and carefully transported from Germany to USA with 12 air containers, with some being transported further to Canada by truck. We looked after this fragile freight, and now the athletes can focus on the race. Thank you, Lena, for taking care of this!
